- Calculator results are preliminary avoided-operational-emissions estimates, not verified carbon credits
- Avoided emissions must not be deducted from Scope 1, 2, or 3 inventories
- Lifecycle boundaries, local factors, additionality, leakage, rebound, and double counting require project-specific assessment
Carbon credits & accounting
- No credit generation, issuance, price, availability, quality, financial return, or accounting treatment is guaranteed
- Prices entered by visitors are not live market data, Scooby quotations, offers, or confirmations that credits can be purchased
- Verified credits require an eligible independent program, validation, monitoring, verification, registry issuance, unique serial numbers, ownership controls, and retirement
- Qualified legal, tax, accounting, registry, and assurance professionals must advise on each transaction
